John Romita, Jr. perfectly captures the savagery and danger of Wolverine while subtlety breaking the fourth wall.

And if the name sounds familiar, it should.

He is the son of legendary Spider-Man artist John Romita, Sr. who just so happened to have created the visual design for Wolverine back in 1974…

Let me add that the comments of support, like the two above, really are a shot in the arm when one would rather sit on he couch and watch an episode of Ninja Warrior than write another blog post that one fears no one will even notice.

I remember when I was younger, I had a wolverine T-shirt with this exact same cover on it. The only difference was that the shit was cross colored and he had the alpha flight colors on, but exact same pose.

Wolverine #310 is going to have a rendition of this classic cover, except with Sabretooth replacing Wolverine. I can’t help but wonder if there is a correlation between choosing issue #310 for Sabretooth’s return since his first appearance in Wolverine comics was issue #10
