-Wolverine: Origins #15 (Preview): 15 months and we are still no closer to any of this making sense. And you gotta love the black ops secret message Wolverine leaves in the Daily Bugle during the Epilogue. So subtle even my pet chimpanzee could read it. My kingdom for some intelligent writing.
-X-Men #200 (Preview): The return of the Marauders and the beginning of Extinction Agenda.
-World War Hulk: X-Men #1 (Preview): Another summer, another Marvel-wide cross-over.
-Black Panther #28 (Preview): More fun with Zombie Wolverine.
-Marvel Adventures The Avengers #14 (Cover): Who is supposed to be reading this series?
The 011: Team X Beginnings rewrite is now complete, necessitating the temporary hiatus of 012: Canadian Intelligence.

-Hulk and Power Pack #4 (Cover): Minor Wolverine cameo, though the back of his head on the cover is very cool.
–Scott P. agrees with my assessment of recent Wolverine and Wolverine: Origins issues,
“I have experienced the same unidentified distaste for the current Wolverine storylines. As I read your epiphany on issues 50 thru 54, the light bulb glowed above my head as well. You are 100% correct. The talent is there but the output is highly disappointing and aggravating! In fact, I’m getting really disgusted at how Wolverine is being treated by Marvel overall. Wolverine: Origins is a disgrace; writing and art through and through. When Joe Quesada has been questioned on the lack of a long term creative team on any of the Wolverine books, he’s laughed it off. Why are they bent on destroying one of their flagship characters? And they are eliminating one of the most loved and interesting characteristics about the character; his mysterious past. I’m not even going to start on variant covers and senseless guest appearances.”

-Wolverine #54 (Preview): I’ve been trying to figure out why I am not enjoying this storyline. Jeph Loeb is a very good writer and Simone Bianchi has done some terrific pages. And I think I finally hit upon it in this issue: Jeph Loeb is not taking Wolverine seriously. The writing is sloppy (the excessive cursing, “cute” dialogue, over-the-top declarations), the pacing is dreadful (six issues to tell a three issue storyline), and despite a series of excessively confusing flashbacks, nothing really has happened. And don’t get me started with lupine evolution (let’s see, we have seven examples of unrelated lupine mutation, they must be a new species evolved from wolves!) And to top it all off, the final issue isn’t due until 7/25.
–X-23: Target X #6 (Preview): X-23’s first encounter with Wolverine.
–New Avengers: Illuminati #3 (Preview): Secret Wars flashback with Wolverine cameo.
-Information from Wolverine’s profile in Civil War Files has been added to 009: World War II and 010: Landau, Luckman and Lake.
–Wolverine: Origins #14 added to 006: The Lost Years. Major changes coming to post-Landau, Luckman and Lake sections.
