So here’s the deal. I am trying an experiment and am hoping you can help.

If you use Facebook, and let’s be honest, half the planet does, please click the ‘Like’ button in that box. That way, any updates I make on Facebook will automatically appear in your Facebook News Feed. Or you can follow this link and head over to that page right now.

This new setup allows me to publish previews, mini-reviews and Wolverine news quicker and more easily– as well as to give everyone the opportunity to comment more effectively or add their own posts and thoughts.

Why am I doing this? Well, I am really trying to focus on the Wolverine chronology — I have three chapters completely rewritten so far — and would love to spend less time publishing and more time writing.

Don’t worry — I’ll still publish reviews for the major Wolverine titles here: Wolverine, Wolverine and Jubilee, Astonishing Spider-Man and Wolverine, Wolverine: The Best There Is, etc., but I really need to shake things up if I am going to have enough time to do everything I am trying to work on.

Please let me know in the comments below if you DON’T use Facebook as I’d like to make this work for everyone. That said, if you do, please give this a shot as I have a hunch that this might end up being major improvement over the old system.

This will also give me time to move the site to a new hosting company so the load time doesn’t take forever AND I have quite a few pleasant surprises in store for everyone — including a sneak peak of a Wolverine script I’ve written.

Having not read the last story arc due to the fact that I am still missing issue #2, I can’t speak to the epilogue at play here, but I can say that the Deathloks here are pretty cool.

One wonders, however, if they’ll be tied to the Deathloks that appeared in ‘Wolverine: Weapon X’ a few months back…

This miniseries continues to impress me.

Another very strong issue with terrific interplay between Wolverine and Jubilee.

Best line? “I can’t feel my ass.”

No one kicks off a storyline better.

Interesting tale from April 28, 1945. I’m still not a big fan of the the bone claws during World War II, but at least Logan gets to be a hero…

“Legend of Crimson Falls”

Ugh…

“The Adamantium Diaries”
Writer: Sarah Cross; Artist: Joao Lemos
The best and most heartfelt story of the lot dealing with a young, dorky fan of Wolverine..

“Development Hell”
Writer: Mark Simmone; Penciler: Mike Ryan; Inker: Victor Olazaba
Double ugh…

“Last Men Standing”
Writer: Vince Hernadez Artist: Luke Ross
Another World War II tale with bone claws, this time from 1944. And yes, Logan gets to be a hero again…

Wolverine #5.1 (preview)

I think this issue is a prime example of the best and worst of Jason Aaron.

The best is a wonderfully crafted surprise birthday party that Melita throws for Logan.

The worst are the horribly stupid villains that Logan stumbles upon who no doubt will return based on the final pages.

All in all, a very strong issue of Wolverine’s personal side (I could have done without the Rolling Stones, personally) and a very weak issue of Wolverine’s superhero adventures.

Have at it, everyone!
