Ultimate Comics X was fairly intriguing. Certainly worth a read by any Wolverine fan. Not sure where the series is going aside from recruiting a new Ultimate X-Men team.

I was less impressed with X-Men Noir: Mark of Cain #3. As I’ve said before, I am pretty much done with these Noir stories.

Well I gave up on Ultimate-verse after Ultimatum so I rather resent being kicked to buy these issues. Wasn’t horrible but the whole idea was not something I care about. ‘Wolverine is too much like 616, let’s kill him and make a new younger in your face Wolverine’. Sound familiar? Not to mention the claws thing? Just stupid

I wanted to hate Ultimate X and I was so sure I was going to dislike it. But after reading the issue, I find myself kind of liking it. The whole “shoot mutants on sight” apocalyptic scenario was very neat. Plus I really did like the twist on the whole Heather Hudson back story. At the very least they did their research on old Wolverine stories.

Plus I like the magazine reference from the first Ultimate X-Men arc. I will keep following this for a little while longer. This is impressive stuff coming from Loeb.
