Reviews: New Wolverine Comics (01/24/07)

Mini-reviews of new Wolverine appearances in comic stores on 01/24/07:

Wolverine #50 (Preview): The much anticipated ‘final’ confrontation between Sabretooth and Wolverine by Jeph Loeb and Simone Bianchi hit stores this week. Based on the emails I’ve received on this issue, I’ve decided to post my feelings in more depth than usual. This issue was a huge disappointment for me. This was supposed to be a seminal issue and it felt like they are trying to stretch this story out over multiple issues. Don’t get me wrong. I like multi-part stories. But there was so much posturing and the fight sequence was so bland. These are supposed to be of the best fighters in the Marvel Universe. Where is the amazing fight?

“First of all I want to say that your webpage is really good, it’s really up among the other Wolverine pages [which] reflects your vision of analyzing comics.”
