yeah, it was all mind control. which i think is where his berserker rages come from. cause even at his most feral, he usually doesn't go out of his way to hurt people that don't deserve it.

Probably to trap Wolverine , since she knows he wouldn't kill innocent people ? :(

But yeah , he never did kill innocent people. That is what separated him from Sabretooth. Did he ever kill innocent people for no reason ? He was usually brainwashed every time he did right ? (Or in what of his berserker rages ?)

yeah, he always did walk that line. and, yeah, that is what made him interesting. but he never crossed that line fully in either direction. had rules he would always abide by. he had a code of honor. well, post Weapon X, anyway. he never killed innocents. i've never EVER seen him do it post Weapon X. i mean, we could bring up the question of "who's really innocent" but i digress. anyway, since it was Mystique, i guess it's no big deal. but why would she run around posing as Wolverine pretending to look for herself?

He has been darkened by the new writers . But Wolverine has always walked a thin line between hero and murderer. Writers like Chris Claremont and Grant Morrison have all done there part in making him dark and violent character. It has always been hinted that Wolverine wasn't always a good guy, I remember reading that Logan wasn't always in control of his actions and he was either manipulated or controlled some how. These dark times helped Logan concentrate on redemption and reminded him how important it is to stay on the honorable path. If he was always a hero from the beginning , it would be much less interesting in my opinion. Now that he remembers all the horrible things he was forced to do in the past, he can start atoning for his past mistakes. Maybe that is why he subconsciously hanged around good men like Captain America and Charles Xavier ?

is this the issue where Logan carelessly murders an innocent woman just because he thought she was Mystique? i'm waiting for the tpbs before i get into messiah complex, so maybe there's more to it than i know, but that still seemed way too uncharacteristic. it seems like he's losing his heroic credibility since getting his memories back. but whatever. what i don't get is how he can track a person so many miles by scent, but couldn't tell, at point-blank range, that she wasn't Mystique. that was just careless writing.
