^ i'm almost entirely sure that was Romulus. he was there with Sabretooth and he's pretty much Romulus's second hand man. and, if not, the only thing that matters is that Romulus was giving the orders. and it should be interesting when Logan's son, Daken (who was raised by Romulus) finds out about him giving the order to kill his mom, Itsu. Way's already set up a confrontation between Winter Soldier and Daken. whenever that happens, the shiza should hit the fan seeing as to how *gasp!* Bucky was the one that pulled the trigger!

I would like to agree Wolf Spider , and hope Daniel Way brings the entire story together. Obviously there was the person who stole his son (Romulus?) , and that's a big loose end that will be wrapped up before this is all over with. (Hopefully.) So I'm waiting until it's all over with before I pass my own judgment. I really like the two reviews that were given here. And I humbly agree that this site has opened my eyes to Wolverine's back story. Woot for Typing Monkeys. xD

that didn't make sense to me either. especially not since they have already been shown fighting together later in the war. the only way i can figure it is that Cap heard Logan say "but i didn't tell them about Bucky" and later assumed that Logan selling them out was a ploy to get Bucky close to Baron Zemo to take HIM out. that's the only way it can make sense to me. i try not to let myself think past that.

I'm disappointed with the conclusion of this arc, I didn't have any problems with the whole story, it's okay with me, but the conclusion doesn't have any meaning with what comes after between Wolverine and Captain America.

How can Captain America have even a little bit of confidence in Wolverine if he betrayed Cap to the Nazis? It doesn't work for me.

[This is lengthy. Sorry. I've been a huge Wolverine fan since i was 6 years old reading the Clarmont stories in "X-Men Classic" and have read an enormous degree of Wolverine-related material since. I have a tattoo on my right arm in the brown costume from the 80's. I frequent this site and it's put a lot of things into perspective for me. oh, and i swear to god, i DO have a life.]

Very good point. I agree whole-heartedly that this, as well as just about every Wolverine or Origins arc since 'Origins and Endings' (which I enjoyed before it spiraled into oblivion in 'Origins') has/have completely ruined James "Logan" Howlett's reputation for the time being. But that's just it. "for the time being". In my opinion, Daniel Way seems to write from the top to the bottom of a huge proverbial triangle. Taking baby steps towards a much larger picture. Granted, he does have plot holes you could drive a mac truck through, and he SEEMS to be leaving a lot of loose ends so far, AND he hasn't really gotten to the point yet, I have some faith that he'll tie everything together...hopefully...eventually. For now, I'm enjoying the meaning that he's given to a few little details of a lot of back issues (i.e. the conversation with Silver Samurai about the Muramasa blade in the first ongoing Wolvie series, and the whole birthday thing with Sabretooth, etc.) that didn't really make sense at all before. I even think, by shedding light on Romulus' manipulations of Logan, that Way is finally explaining Logan's berserker rages. "Then the kill light goes on, blinding me, wiping out my thoughts". "They knew just what to do to get me here." [-stuff from Origins and Endings] All of this could factor heavily into why Wolverine had so many self-conflicts back in the Clarmont days. How did little sickly James Howlett become a second-nature killer in the first place? He obviously regretted it. He came down so hard on himself for it. Why not just stop? Other than "You killed my papa! I'll kill you back, I'll kill you back!!" from the Origin mini (which was in defense of a loved one), killing just doesn't seem like it should be in Logan's nature. Unless someone PUT it there. And now that he remembers all the horrible things he's done (and we, as readers, can see that he's justified in hating himself) just imagine what changes that will have on his personality. It's him clawing people in front of Mariko times like FIVE HUNDRED!!

I'm probably projecting meaning onto Daniel Way's writing that isn't really there, but the main reason I kinda like him (at least more than Hama) is that he actually gives me room to project. He's definitely more of a novelist than a comic writer. I really hope he's going somewhere with all this. But the guy DID say he had a five year plan. So he's obviously got a head full of ideas at least.

Thanks to anyone that actually read this entire flamin' thing.
