Wolverine WrapUp (02/16): Generation X-Force

Writer: Rick Remender
Pencils: Esad Ribic
Inks: John Lucas

From Marvel: “They come in waves, an army of time displaced Deathlok troopers made from Earth’s greatest warriors; Captain America, Spider-Man, Elektra, Cyclops, Venom, The Thing, Bullseye–all soldiers in the army of Deathlok. All operating under one directive: Fantomex must die! The hottest book on the stands just gets hotter as fan favorite writer Rick Remender (Punisher, Fear Agent) is joined by superstar artist Esad Ribic (Wolverine, Loki)!”

In stores February 16, 2011.

Having not read the last story arc due to the fact that I am still missing issue #2, I can’t speak to the epilogue at play here, but I can say that the Deathloks here are pretty cool.

One wonders, however, if they’ll be tied to the Deathloks that appeared in ‘Wolverine: Weapon X’ a few months back…

From Marvel: “Dust settles over the rubble of Tokyo. What emerges, for better or worse, will define the next generation of mutantkind. PLUS, as the survivors return to Utopia, there is a reckoning between Wolverine and Teon. One way or the other, it’s another unforgettable issue of Generation Hope.”

In stores February 16, 2011.

Great cover, and the story inside isn’t too bad.

Unfortunately the Teon on the cover and the Teon inside bear little resemblance…

Have you checked ebay for Uncanny X-Force #2 DiG ?

Here is a link.

This one is sold for $4.00 I shop with the Cargo Hold all of the time, and they are pretty reliable and their shipping time is nice. I don’t know what your spending limit is, but to me it’s worth the cash to see my comic collection completed. I hope I helped.

Why do you buy on eBay? Can you not get a Marvel subscription at much less costs? Or at least Amazon…this is pretty puzzling to me

Good question! =) Marvel subscriptions offers a very limited selection of ongoing titles, which I believe is they consider to be the flagship titles. Currently I am only able to get the Avengers, New Avengers, Uncanny X-Men, X-Men, Deadpool, Wolverine, Uncanny X-Force, X-23, and Daken through Marvel subscriptions. Sadly Marvel Subscriptions doesn’t offer one shots, mini series, or other on going titles. I usually don’t buy comics on Amazon, but I do agree that Amazon sells paperback novels for dirt cheap. I do encourage anybody who is looking for novels to check amazon first before ebay. I did look for… Read more »
